Integration features
Supported resources
Once connected, Dimedove discovers the resources available in your Epic database, including:- Clients: the core customer/account records.
- Contacts: the people associated with clients, prospects, carriers, and vendors.
- Activities: the logged tasks, follow-ups, and servicing notes tied to a client.
- Companies, opportunities, policies, and accounts: additional records your agents can read.
Agent actions
Configure your Dimedove agents to perform record operations as part of their tasks. For each task you choose the operation the agent is allowed to perform:- Get: look up a record by fields such as email, phone, or ID (for example, find a client before logging work against it).
- Create: create a new record, such as an activity logging a call outcome.
- Update: update an existing record with information gathered during the conversation.
- Upsert: look up a record and update it, or create one if no match is found.
Key capabilities
- Per-agency connection: connect your own Epic database using credentials issued to your agency.
- Field mapping: map agent conversation outputs to specific Epic fields for precise data entry.
- Unified inbox: conversations that trigger Applied Epic actions appear alongside all other channels in your Dimedove dashboard.
Getting connected
Applied Epic connects with API credentials rather than an OAuth sign-in. You provision an application in the Applied Dev Center, which issues a consumer key and consumer secret scoped to your Epic database, then enter those credentials in Dimedove. To connect your Applied Epic database:- Provision an application in the Applied Dev Center to obtain a consumer key and consumer secret.
- Navigate to Settings > Integrations in your Dimedove dashboard.
- Click Configure next to Applied Epic.
- Enter your consumer key, consumer secret, and database name.
- Click Save and Connect. Dimedove verifies the credentials and discovers your available resources.
- Configure agent actions to start looking up records and logging activities.
Applied Epic integration requires a Pro subscription with third-party integrations enabled.
