Core Capabilities
The attribute management interface enables businesses to:
View all attributes - Display both default and custom attributes in scrollable list
Add new attributes - Create custom attributes up to plan limits
Edit existing attributes - Modify custom attribute properties
Delete custom attributes - Remove attributes no longer needed
Toggle inference modes - Switch between AI-inferred and manual for each attribute
Monitor usage - Track custom attribute count against entitlement limits
Manage attribute display - Configure how attributes appear on contact profiles
Adding Attributes
When creating new attributes, businesses can:
Define attribute name - Set display name for the attribute
Provide description - Explain what the attribute represents
Add example value - Show placeholder demonstrating expected format
Select input type - Choose between single-line input or textarea
Set inference mode - Enable AI inference or require manual entry
Add translations - Provide localized names for English and French
Editing Attributes
For custom attributes, businesses can modify:
Attribute name - Update the display name
Description - Revise the attribute explanation
Example value - Change the placeholder text
Input type - Switch between input and textarea
Translations - Update localized attribute names
Note: Standard (default) attributes cannot be edited but their inference mode can be changed.
Inference Mode Toggle
Each attribute displays a mode selector with two options:
Manual Mode (Pen icon)
Attribute values must be entered manually by team members
AI will not automatically populate this field
Provides control over sensitive or specific data
Prevents automatic overwrites
AI-Inferred Mode (Wand icon)
Attribute values are automatically extracted from conversations
AI analyzes chat content to populate the field
Updates when new relevant information is detected
Requires “Sync” operation on contact profile to extract
Businesses can toggle between modes at any time, affecting all contacts going forward.
Deleting Attributes
Custom attributes can be deleted with:
Confirmation dialog - Prevents accidental deletion
Warning message - Explains data will be removed from all contacts
Immediate effect - Attribute and all associated values are removed
Standard attributes cannot be deleted.
