Email batches are a Pro feature. They consume credits for each email sent, and the editor shows an Estimated cost before you send.
An email batch sends an email to every person on your list from one of your email channels. When someone replies, the channel’s agent answers, just as it would any email your team receives. Email batches do not need telephony.

Requirements

The email channel you send from must:
  • Be enabled
  • Have a verified domain
  • Have a Mailing address, which is shown at the bottom of every message
See Email configuration to set these up.

Settings

For an email batch you configure:
  • Sending channel: the email channel the batch sends from. It sets the address the emails come from and the agent that answers replies.
  • Language: the language of the unsubscribe line and of any message the agent writes. It defaults to the language of the channel’s agent.
  • Subject: the subject line each recipient sees. You can reference recipient columns in it.
  • Preview line: the short line shown beside the subject in the recipient’s inbox. Without one, the opening words of your message are used.
  • Message: choose Write it myself to write one message for everyone (you can reference recipient columns in it), or Let the agent write it to describe what the agent should write, so it writes a different message for each recipient from your description and their details.
  • Signature: added to the end of every email in the batch. It starts from the channel’s signature, and changing it here does not change the channel.
  • Reply-to: leave it empty so replies come back to your inbox and the agent can answer them. If you enter another address, replies go there instead, and the agent does not see or answer them.
  • Cc: colleagues to copy on every email, separated by commas. Each of them sees the recipient’s address.
  • Additional context: optional batch-level context passed to the agent.
You can also add Campaign instructions so the agent follows up with people who do not reply. See Campaign instructions.

Sending

Before an email batch starts, you confirm that every recipient consented to receive your messages, each time you run or schedule it. Emails go out only between 8 AM and 9 PM in the batch’s timezone unless you acknowledge otherwise. See Sending and scheduling. An unsubscribe link is added to every email automatically. Recipients who use it, or who report one of your emails as spam, are opted out of your emails. See Opt-outs.
