Every agent you build needs the same background: what your business does, what it sells, and which customers are worth pursuing. Instead of repeating that in each agent’s instructions, you describe it once under Settings > Business, and every agent on your team works from it.
This is internal direction for your agents. They use it to decide what to offer and when to hand off to your team, then answer in their own words. It is never shown to your customers.
The four fields
Each field holds up to 2,000 characters. Any member of your team can edit them, and changes apply as soon as you save. A field you leave empty changes nothing.
Where your agents use it
Your business details reach every part of the platform that speaks or plans on your behalf:
- Every agent, on every channel
- Planning the next step of a goal
- Drafting outbound messages
- AI-composed steps in workflows
- Ask Dimedove
- Collecting insights about your contacts
Built-in guardrails
Because these fields describe your commercial position, agents that speak to your customers treat them carefully:
- Never quoted: agents do not repeat the text or reveal that it exists.
- Never used to judge people out loud: agents do not tell someone whether they match who you sell to.
- Never stretched: agents do not offer, price, or promise anything your details do not cover. When a request falls outside them, the agent says it will check with a colleague rather than improvising.
Write these fields the way you would brief a new colleague on their first day. Be explicit about what you do not do: a clear “we do not handle commercial policies” prevents more awkward conversations than any amount of description of what you do handle.
Business details and agent instructions
Business details apply to your whole team. Instructions apply to one agent. Use Business for the facts every agent should share, such as your offering, pricing boundaries, and ideal customer, and keep each agent’s instructions for the role that agent plays and how it should behave.
